Sanity Soap (2012–2023)

Sanity Soap was a multi-media mental health project that combined peer support, writing, comic art, and community resource sharing.

It began as a blog featuring essays on mental health and creativity, along with original illustrations, comics, and curated meditative playlists with guest contributors.

A private peer support group was facilitated on Facebook.

In 2018, the project transitioned primarily to Instagram, where the visual art component continued to grow.

Sanity Soap was featured in BuzzFeed’s “22 Mental Health Instagram Accounts That’ll Make You Feel Less Alone.”

Creative Event Production, Coordination & Performance (2004-Present)

Immersive audio-visual events and sensory-friendly gathering spaces.

These events and performance designed as immersive, sensory-considerate environments and experiences for gentle gathering, quiet social interaction, and shared presence.

The spaces often include live ambient music, projected visuals, soft lighting, floor seating, textiles, and small atmosphere-building details to support comfort.

Each event offers an alternative to overstimulating extrovert environments, welcoming sensitive and neurodivergent audiences, introverts, and anyone seeking slower forms of togetherness.

Film & Sound #9: Audio Visual Spa
Ministry of Casual Living, Victoria BC (2024)

Pop-up sensory-friendly audio-visual lounge and live-score screening as part of the Film + Sound series at the Ministry of Casual Living. The event featured a curated program of early computer animation shorts, followed by a remixed selection from the Mind’s Eye animation archives with live ambient score, and concluded with a group discussion on the theraputic affects of the audio-visual exerpeince.
